On behalf of the entire SCPEA membership I would like to welcome you to our web page. We hope you will find it user friendly and hope that you will contact us with any questions. You will find contact information under “officers”. We are excited about our show season and would like to share some of our goals with you.
1) As evidenced by you being on this page, the internet has now become the choice for information and communication. As a result of this, we plan to upgrade and continuously update our web page. We welcome any feedback you may have on how we may improve our website.
2) It our desire to continue to host some of the most fun breed shows in the country. We are constantly getting compliments on our shows and that is a direct reflection of the commitment and attitude of our members. When you attend an SCPEA show for the first time or the 100th time, it is our goal to make it an enjoyable experience for you. If you have any interest or questions, please do not hesitate to call us.
3) In order to promote the Palomino horse and the spirit of our membership, we will continue to host open shows at Dillon Park in Sumter, SC. These shows have not only been a tremendous fund raiser for our club, but have introduced the yellow horse and our family atmosphere to many new horse people. I can personally tell you that we have people who have attended the open shows and are now looking for a Palomino so they can join us at our weekend shows.
4) Because our organization is like a family, it will become obvious to you that our Youth members are important to us. With the challenges facing our youth, getting them involved in activities is probably more important today than ever. SCPEA has a strong commitment to continue supporting the Youth involved in Palomino. This includes having a strong youth presence at our show so members from other states are encouraged to attend because of good class sizes. We will continue to foster the “competition during the day and have fun at night environment” that our youth have made synonymous with our shows.
