Welcome to 2008!Our new show season has arrived! Like everyone, I’m ready for warm weather and horse shows. Please seek out your yellow horse friends and encourage them to come to our shows. Our family atmosphere is one I really think everyone will enjoy! SCPEA will be hosting its open show circuit again this year at Dillon Park in Sumter. The circuit consists of four shows; the first one being on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Circuit awards will be given at the end of the year for these shows. Dates for the circuit are posted on our website or can be obtained by call Ken or Clara Beasley. We will need volunteers to help with the show. Please, let Ken or Clara know if you can help out that day. The 3rd SPCEA Pre-World Youth Challenge will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the TE Garrison Arena in Clemson. The Youth Challenge is a team competition and belt buckles will be given to each participant. The top state teams will receive medallions. Information and registration forms are available on www.scpalomino.com . Please tell your neighbors and friends about this great opportunity for the youth to compete. Many people that I’ve spoken with during the fall and winter have commented on how much they enjoy showing in South Carolina. Our shows go so smoothly because of the time and effort put in to each show by our members. Thanks to everyone who participated last year. Our new officers list is posted on our website. Please take an opportunity to check it out. The most important thing to remember is that SCPEA is a volunteer organization. No one person runs the show or keeps everything going. It takes many people working together to make our shows successful. With that in mind, I cannot stress how important it is for everyone to help out.
